Izoduwa Precious Asemota

Izoduwa Precious Asemota is a trailblazing leader and the former lead of the Edo Innovation Hub (Edo Innovates), a pioneering center that champions digital transformation in Nigeria. With a passion for fostering innovation and empowering the next generation of tech professionals, Asemota played a pivotal role in training and certifying over 61,000 young people across Edo State, Nigeria, including those from marginalised communities, in various technology fields.

As the driving force behind the Edo Tech Conference and the Edo Youth Impact Forum, Precious has connected budding entrepreneurs with essential resources, mentorship, and funding, facilitating the growth of startups and positioning them for success in competitive markets.

Under his leadership, Edo Innovates secured significant partnerships with global tech giants like Amazon Web Services, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Microsoft, CCHub, the World Bank and Meta (Facebook), further solidifying its reputation as a hub of innovation and opportunity.

His work in securing over $920,000 in funding for startups, curating state-led Incubation programs, and pioneering digital skills initiatives demonstrates his commitment to raising a new generation of tech-savvy leaders who are breaking boundaries and creating economic opportunities.

He has led a multi-agency network for Edo State's Labour Market Information System in partnership with GIZ to help data-driven decision-making in governance.
